Roy - The Resident Expert

Roy is the local farmboy who has been around farming and pheasants his entire life. He lives on the place 4 miles south of Winner, does the farm work and knows the status of the bird population on a daily basis. Evident by the terrific following he has built, Roy and his Black Lab, Deuce, will cheerfully and patiently work to put you on the birds.

Tony - The Hunting Specialist

Tony has literally been hunting and fishing his entire life. He has only missed one opening weekend of pheasant season in his life, and that was to go elk hunting in Wyoming with his father. Tony also has years of professional guiding experience while being a licensed captain and guide for an Alaskan fishing lodge. Tony lives in Black Hills and has brought countless numbers of friends and hunters back to Winner with him to share the legendary experience of hunting birds in Winner, South Dakota. He is a cousin to Roy and Danny and they all grew up on what is now Rock Valley Farms LLC.  Two years ago, he had to put down his cherished 12 year hunting campanion, a Black Lab named Ace, and is now working with a new partner, Smoke.

Danny - Ex-local and Hunting Fanatic

Danny is our ex-resident pheasant and turkey specialist. Danny grew up in the area, joined the Air Force and lives in Idaho. He comes back every year to take part in the yearly Pheasant Opener rituals. Danny takes great pride in his highly trained Pointing Black Lab, Winnie. He is not the best shot in the world, but that is OK because he will put you on the birds and you are the one who is supposed to be doing the shooting.  He will also get you on a nice Merriam Turkey of choice with over 10 years of experience.

Winnie - Bird Fanatic/Hunting Partner

Snake Rivers Winchester (aka Winnie) is Danny's pride and joy.  Winnie is a 2 year old fully trained AKC Registered Pointing Black Labrador.  She has been back to South Dakota the last two years for the Pheasant Openers.  As a pup she found alot of downed birds that the more experienced Pointers and Retrievers could not find.  So when you join us on your hunt I hope that you enjoy watching Winnie doing what she knows best.
